Psychology consultation

Psychology

Psychological therapy for anxiety, mood, stress management and chronic pain.

A space to work on what is hard to carry alone: anxiety, sustained stress, low mood or the emotional impact of a health problem that lasts longer than expected.

What the sessions are like

Support is individual and confidential. The first sessions are for understanding what is happening and agreeing where we want to go; from there we work with concrete tools you can apply day to day, not only talking about the problem.

Anxiety and stress

These are the most frequent reasons people come and also the most normalised, until they interfere with sleep, work or relationships. We work on the physiological response as well as the thought patterns and decisions that keep it going.

Chronic pain and health

Pain that persists has an emotional component that directly shapes recovery: fear of movement, frustration, disturbed sleep. Addressing it alongside physical treatment noticeably improves outcomes, and having both in the same clinic makes that easier.

Adapting to injury or illness

A long process, surgery or an injury that takes you away from sport has an impact that rarely gets attention. Supporting that part is part of recovering fully, not an extra.

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the reason and the goals we agree. Many issues are worked through in a few focused sessions; others need longer support. It is reviewed with you as we go.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is a basic professional principle, with only the exceptions provided for by law in situations of serious risk.
How often are sessions?
Usually every one or two weeks at first, spacing out as the process advances.
